Change of Heart takes us down a darker alley. It’s a song about the cruelty that we inflict upon ourselves, thinking that more punishment will bring about better performance in spite of our sinking deeper and deeper into despair. But there is an antidote: moments of awareness that come upon us like a dream sequence that whispers, “Be kind to yourself, you are only human.” We recognize that even in our darkest hours of self doubt and self sabotage, there is hope. That hope is within us and around us. We can change our environments, change our relationships, and change our mind set. But it all starts with a change of heart.

April is National Alcohol Awareness Month. In a CDC poll from 2021-2022, it was reported that 63% of U.S. adults struggle with their relationship with alcohol. We want to offer this song as support for the idea that change is always possible.
